Writer’s Block

Writer's Block

I guess everybody has a time where they feel like cannot do something. For a writer, it is often called the writer’s block. The image beside may describe it. A picture does worth a thousand words I guess. Though that does not mean image artists are all the world need, writers are important too.

There are several ways to overcome this so called block. I will list some of them:

1. Go do some refreshing activities

I think this block usually caused by boredom or stressed. Doing repetitive things everyday might make you bored, or it is just that you are having a bad day because of  other things, related or not with writing. So I believe do some sports, playing with friends/child, or simply talking a walk in the park may do the trick to refresh your mind.

2. Read some jokes or comic books

Laugh! It is the best thing in the world 🙂

“Through humor, you can soften some of the worst blows that life delivers. And once you find laughter, no matter how painful your situation might be, you can survive it.” – Bill Cosby

3. Watch the television or read some books

Getting some new ideas might work too. Watching your favorite shows or new ones you have never watched might give you a terrific idea. Might it be some news where a disaster happens, new gadgets launched, hollywood hot gossips, or traditional culture, whatever. They might just give you the “aha!” moment.

4. Write anything that comes to mind

What comes to your mind when you try to make an article? Do not keep them in your mind, just write it out! I started writing this with a thought of I cannot write anything, I have a writer’s block, bla bla bla. But then I just decided to write about writer’s block and… it seems the post is almost done now.

There goes my advice on overcoming writer’s block. I hope you can continue writing and be more productive 🙂 Happy writing guys!

sometimes its just good to give your self a break. It doesnt matter how much you write it matters how much you enjoy it. That should always be the main focus.

Excellent advice! I’m always looking for ideas on what to post about on my blog and often find them when I’m out and about or letting my mind go crazy.
