Understanding Religion

Unity in Diversity

So yesterday I read my friend’s notes and put some thought about it. Before going further, I would like to share with you the original notes (already asked the author =)) – I edited it necessarily.

Religions Misunderstanding

Jesus Christ taught love, not Christianity. Buddha taught balance, not Buddhism.

Muhammad taught truth and trust not Islam.

Each belief from each religion should be perfecting each other, not destroying one and another.

There is no perfection in human made. From what I see, Gods made beliefs but humans made the religion.

Gods from every religion never made the name of the religion, but human did.

That’s why we, human, should never be so proud of our own religion, because religions made by humans.

Being religious is all right, but that doesn’t mean that you only can take what your religion teach you.

If only all humans understand that the main point of a religion is the belief not the religion itself, all religion war can be avoided and the world will be in peace.

I am not some expert at this kind of thing, but don’t you agree that the core principle of all religions in the world are the same? Do good deeds. It is just that principle is misinterpreted or manipulated by some people to gain power to control others, leading to fights between people. Or because of some petty grudge between somebody or some groups so they want to make each other fight.

It is like Indonesia’s official national motto, “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika”. The main idea is unity in diversity. Unity is beautiful, right? I hope this article help people to get a better understanding of religion topic.

No, I didn’t mean that Gods didn’t teach us how to pray!
but Gods never taught us in what way we must pray!
Why can’t Christians pray the way Muslims do? Why can’t Hindus pray the way Buddhis do?
Because Gods tell us so? I don’t think so
